Save the Children recognises our duty to be accountable to the children and families we help, and to every individual, organisation and government that supports our work.

Administration/cost ratio

We aim to keep our administration cost ratio below 10%. This ratio expresses administration costs (including depreciation) as a percentage of total revenue. For 2007/08, the ratio was 7%.

Australian Council for International Development (ACFID)

Save the Children Australia is a signatory to the ACFID Code of Conduct which sets standards of best practice for international development organisations and represents the active commitment of its signatories to conduct their activities with integrity and accountability. 

Australian Government Overseas Aid Program (AusAID)

Save the Children is fully accredited by AusAID. The accreditation process aims to provide AusAID and the Australian public with the confidence that the Australian Government is funding professional, well-managed, community-based organisations that are capable of delivering quality development outcomes.
