Nine thirty on a recent misty morning saw 22 teams gather on their designated greens at the Tasmania Golf Club ready for the inaugural Save the Children Corporate Golf Challenge. Once the mist cleared an excellent day of golf was under way.
After lots of team bonding playing a Four Ball Ambrose it was time to adjourn to the clubhouse for lunch and presentation of the trophy to the winning Kleen n Bright team.
Also as part of the activities a fundraising auction and raffle were held. Items auctioned included a framed Matthew Goggin Tour shirt, a cricket bat signed by the Tasmania Pura Cup winners, framed and autographed Shane Warne jeans and a number of other excellent items donated by local businesses.
The day was a fantastic success, raising around $9,000. John Kay and his hardworking organising committee already have plans well under way for May 16th 2008. A huge thank you to the generous businesses who supported us and all those who helped with the organising of the event.
