Eglantyne Jebb featured in Woman's Day

Save the Children is delighted with the support it has received from the Woman's Day website for its new online book, which tells the story of little-known Save the Children founder Eglantyne Jebb.

Woman's Day is now inviting readers of its website to write in with details of any other unsung heroines from history.

Woman's Day is also petitioning the government to appoint a Federal Minister for Children - a person devoted to children's issues in Australia, who will co-ordinate child services departments from all states and territories - so that we can help put an end to child abuse.

You can sign the "Save Our Kids" petition on the Woman's Day website: http://womansday.ninemsn.com.au"
