Bangladesh is one of the world’s most densely populated countries and also one of the poorest.  The tropical monsoons and heavy summer rains are generally accompanied by cyclones and floods, often with catastrophic consequences.  For many Bangladeshis extreme poverty is a way of life, and for many children it is the only life they know.

Save the Children Australia has been working in Bangladesh for over 20 years.
