We are the biggest NGO in Solomon Islands that works with young people in urban, semi urban and rural communities (Makira, Malaita, Guadalcanal, Choiseul, Western, Isabel province and Honiara) with a reach of about 100,000 people directly and indirectly (including about 30,000 young people).
In the past year over 2000 young male and female were trained in youth issues such as STI and HIV, substance abuse, child abuse, youth crime, self-esteem and income generation.
Through peer-to-peer education and other outreach activities, young male and females transferred information, knowledge and skills to about 20,000 young people and community members.
In most of communities, young people have constructed a "Youth Information Centre" which has worked as a place of youth gathering and information hub. In all 114 communities, youth were supported to conduct regular sports activities.
