Vanuatu is an archipelago of 83 islands located in the South Pacific Ocean, some 1,750km east of Australia. Its economy is based on small-scale agriculture, which provides a living for 65% of the population.
Save the Children Australia has worked in Vanuatu since 1984 and has projects in all six provinces of Vanuatu: Penama, Malampa, Tafea, Shefa, Torba and Sanma.

This project uses education and awareness to encourage communities to
support people with HIV and AIDS, and to assist children who have lost
relatives to the disease.
Youth out-reach project
Meeting the considerable challenge in meeting the
health, education and other social development needs of Vanuatu's young people.
