Village health worker project

Funded by AusAID, this project is improving the health of Vanuatu people, in particular rural populations and women and children.

The project is improving access to health care services, and developing health management systems at provincial and community levels.

To date, we have trained 230 village health workers.

This project builds on our initial primary health care project – the Maternal and Child Health Project – which started in 1984.
