How our members contribute
Why are our members so important?

As a member of Save the Children you are a valued participant in our work and in promoting the cause of children's rights. Being a member of Save the Children carries the responsibility of voting at the National AGM and being a part of significant decisions that affect the running of the world's largest independent children's charity.

Many of Save the Children's members also volunteer and become involved in fundraising, advocacy and even program development and delivery.

Everyone can help future generations

We are grateful to all of our supporters who give us their time, donations and commitment as volunteers, members and donors. They have helped us to improve and save the lives of millions of children. Each and every contribution counts and has the power to make a lasting difference to the life of every child we reach.

Extending your support as a member enables us to go a step further. Your membership can make a significant and fundamental difference to the children of tomorrow. Together with your help, we can work with families and
communities to build skills and knowledge, helping the next generation to help themselves.

Brian and Dot, Save the Children Members

Our members of the month

Brian and Dot have been Members of Save the Children for over 27 years. First becoming Members to the Ararat Branch and then opening the local Save the Children Australia charity store in 1998. Brian and Dot are quite the team and nothing stops them.

Both sort thousands of donations, promote Save the Children at any possible opportunity and even cut up unsellable clothing to make that extra dollar from a local rag trade. Everyone in the town knows Brian and Dot for their role with Save the Children. This is why they are our members of the month.
