Giving kids the chance to learn

Save the Children's Mobile Playbuses are early learning centres on wheels. Stocked with lots of educational toys and games, they bring high quality playgroups and parenting support to more than 70 communities across Australia. Many of the children they reach are from socially isolated and financially disadvantaged families, who would otherwise miss out on the early learning and development that's so vital to their future health and wellbeing.

Trained early childhood workers run activities for children, and provide parents with general advice, skills and links to other community services. Meeting regularly at the Mobile Playbus also helps parents form relationships with other parents so they can build their own support networks. The award winning Mobile Playbus program runs in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia.
