The first full week of July is NAIDOC Week, a national celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
The promotion and protection of traditional cultures is a very important aspect of our programs and operations in Australia. Programs like our Mobile Playscheme, Early Learning Centres and Deadly Blokes and Kids use music, art and history to support learning and strengthen communities. During NAIDOC Week, Save the Children Australia will join with community groups and representatives at ceremonies and events around the country to acknowledge the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Find an event near you. Find out more about our programs in Australia and our Reconciliation Action Plan.
