Fitzroy Toy Library
The Fitzroy Toy Library is a not-for-profit initiative that has been serving the local community for more than a decade

Save the Children has been operating the Fitzroy Toy Library since 2005 and has a current library membership of 90 families from a wide range of nationalities. The Fitzroy Toy Library provides age and culturally - appropriate toys and educational resources (at little or no cost) to families from the local area. Many of these families are from Atherton Gardens Estate, a high-rise housing commission which is located opposite the library. The majority of these families are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and some are recent arrivals to Australia.

The Toy Library also provides an opportunity to meet other caregivers to share concerns, interact with others and make new friends and helps parents and carers learn about the ages and stages of child development.
