Future ParentsOur Future Parents Program equips young people at risk of early pregnancy and long-term unemployment with essential skills, practical knowledge, personal development and access to resources for positive parenting behaviour. Deadly Blokes and KidsOur Deadly Blokes and Kids program in Townsville is an innovative program which uses music, song writing and performance to engage participants. The program creates a safe space for male parents or caregivers to interact with children in a positive, safe and creative manner. The program aims to build strong relationships and highlights the importance of the traditional male role in the family unit.
Foster ParentsSave the Children runs a child protection program to support children in out-of-home care and their families. The program, named Camp Borombola, trains foster parents on behaviour and stress management and, at the same time, the children and families take part in outdoor recreation camps.
