children need our protection from harm
About 218 million children aged five to 17 are working as child labourers across the globe. More than half are involved in hazardous work, forced to become child soldiers or work in mines.

Two million children worldwide suffer abuse from prostitution and pornography. In south and east Asia, a third of sex workers are children. More than one million are trafficked each year within their own country or across borders. Millions more are forced into child marriage.
In Australia, more indigenous children enter the child protection system than non-indigenous children.
All children need protection no matter where they live, which is why Save the Children works to protect those vulnerable to abuse, exploitation and neglect.
