We're excited to announce that our Hands on Learning methodology has been noted as one of 100 Inspiring Innovations in education globally, by Finnish not-for-profit HundrED.
To reach this list meant adhering to some pretty strict criteria and we’re really proud (but not entirely surprised!) to have made the cut.
HundrED’s in-house research team analysed more than 1000 innovations to find out if they were addressing a problem from a new perspective, if they provided real impact, and if they could be applied beyond their current context. The range of innovations chosen span 41 countries and Hands on Learning is one of only 6 innovations to make the list from Australia.
The Hands on Learning vision is a bold one – that all young people at risk of disengaging from school will have a genuine opportunity to receive and learn from a quality basic education. Hands on Learning is a school-based programme committed to preventing exclusion and early school leaving by creating opportunities for young people to discover their talents and experience success.
We see students develop critical skills such as collaboration, problem solving, communication, resilience, empathy and creativity. For more information on the Hands on Learning program
