You can help protect and care for vulnerable children now at risk from Ebola
Your donation will help us put more of our skilled health workers on the ground to protect children and families at risk and treat those already diagnosed with this terrible disease.
The latest outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has now claimed more than 2,000 lives. And the terrible count continues.
This has been a particularly deadly outbreak. The youngest are the hardest hit. Over 500 children have died and many more have lost parents. Children can no longer go to school, because the schools are closed, or they have to work to make ends meet.
The situation is desperate. Thankfully, Save the Children is there to help. Our skilled Emergency Health Unit is working around the clock to fight the disease.
Our capable team is saving lives by supporting health facilities to remote and vulnerable communities. But while helping people who are already sick is essential, stopping Ebola from spreading further is just as important.
That is why we are also training health workers to identify and isolate cases and mobilising community leaders to inform families of the dangers of Ebola and how they can protect themselves from catching it.
Please donate now to our Children’s Emergency Fund to help us protect children affected by this crisis, and other emergencies around the world.
