Save money and save lives at our Op Shops
You'll get more than just retail therapy when you shop at one of Save the Children's many op shops, situated in convenient locations around Australia. Not only will you pick yourself up an array of recycled fashion pieces, toys, books and even some vintage and modern day gems, your purchases will help to create better lives for children in Australia and overseas. Our op shops are staffed by friendly volunteers who only add to the unique shopping experience.
Donations of items to sell in our retail shops* are greatly appreciated. So, if you're looking for a new home for your books, bric-a-brac, furniture, clothing and homewares gathering dust on shelves, or you're wanting to make space in your wardrobe for some new threads, please contact your nearest shop.
All our op shops are run by volunteers and without the regular contribution of volunteers, we simply couldn’t open these stores. In fact, our op shops are such a wonderful place to be, a large proportion of our retail volunteers have been with us for many years. Find out how you can volunteer at your local store too.
Browse our virtual shelves and take your pick from over 5,000 quality second hand books in our online bookstore. Every book sold will help make sure another child has access to quality healthcare, education and protection. Delivery is free for all purchases over $30. Check out our online bookstore here and add some classics to your bookshelf.

Store re-opening updates
As State and Federal Government restrictions regarding retail operations are lifting across Australia, we are working on reopening some of our Save the Children Op Shops.
These will be opened on a store by store basis. In each store we are implementing measures to ensure the health and safety of staff, volunteers and customers and to protect vulnerable groups in our community.
Please see below for stores that have reopened. These will be updated fortnightly until all stores are open.
*Please note, our op shops are unable to accept mattresses.
