Starved and malnourished, there’s no energy left to cry, laugh and play. Children’s lives are at risk.
In Kenya, mum Dorcas* knew the effects of hunger. Without food, her 3-year-old twins Elemut* and Akilim* were at risk from deadly malnutrition.
But Dorcas knew what they needed – lifesaving healthcare and nutrition. So she moved her family to live closer to a Save the Children outreach nutrition clinic where they received constant health monitoring and medical care.
With recent global aid cuts some of these outreach clinics are at risk. The supply of therapeutic peanut paste used to treat malnutrition is also under threat. In 2025 only 40% of malnourished children are expected to receive this lifesaving treatment.
Without these critical medical interventions, the lives of malnourished children around the world are further pushed to the brink.
With your gift, you can help children to access lifesaving treatment to prevent and treat acute malnutrition.
You can help silence children’s hunger. DONATE NOW.
