Three years after the war began, children in Gaza have been denied a childhood. What should have been years spent learning, playing and imagining their futures have instead been marked by violence, unfathomable loss, famine and displacement.
One year after the October 2025 "ceasefire" came into effect, little has changed for many families. The agreement has not translated into meaningful protection for children, who continue living with fear and uncertainty as a constant part of daily life.
The scale of harm inflicted by Israeli authorities and security forces on Palestinian children spans every dimension of their lives. The damage extends far beyond destroyed buildings and infrastructure. It can be seen in children's deteriorating physical and mental health and years of missed learning.
DONATE NOW TO OUR GAZA EMERGENCY APPEAL
Right now, our teams and local partners are delivering lifesaving services to children and families across the occupied Palestinian territory. This includes:
-
Treating children who are malnourished after being intentionally starved
-
Caring for children injured by bullets, bombs and shrapnel
-
Supporting those suffering from severe psychological distress from the horrors of war
-
Establishing child friendly spaces for learning and recreation
-
Providing cash assistance to support families whose livelihoods have been decimated.
We are continuing to advocate for unimpeded humanitarian access at all times. A sustained surge in humanitarian aid must be allowed to enter and move throughout Gaza, without obstruction.
PLEASE DONATE NOW
The Government of Israel’s continuous disregard for both the “ceasefire” and their obligations under international law to protect children, has exposed every child in Gaza to experiences no child should face, from hunger and deprivation to displacement and losing loved ones.
Palestinian children need a definitive ceasefire, access to education, healthcare, nutrition, protection services and safe spaces now. The longer critical support is delayed, the greater the long-term harm to children, families and communities will be.
Continued funding is more crucial than ever. We urgently need your help to reach children with lifesaving support.
