Children are always the hardest hit by conflict — and in Lebanon, too many are growing up surrounded by fear, uncertainty and loss.
Many have been forced to leave their homes. The displacement has stripped them of almost everything that keeps them safe: shelter, education, community, routine.
They have seen their rights violated, with restricted access to essential support and services including education, healthcare, and basic needs. Many have lost family members or have been separated from their families.
Save the Children’s ongoing response ensures children receive the urgent support they need. This includes:
• Helping families with essential healthcare, supporting maternal and child health services, and identifying children at risk of malnutrition
• Providing cash assistance so families can buy food, medicine and other essentials
• Delivering child protection and mental health and psychosocial support to help children cope with fear, distress and disruption
• Support safe access to education through temporary learning spaces, catch-up programs, early childhood support and school rehabilitation
• Supplying water, improving toilets and hygiene, and repairing damaged homes, schools and community facilities.
By supporting Save the Children’s Emergency Fund, you can help children and families in Lebanon, as well as those caught in other emergencies around the world.
