Millions of children in Yemen are in urgent need of life-saving support
The war in Yemen has created the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Hunger, disease and bombs are claiming children’s lives every day.
Your support will help save lives in Yemen
“We urgently need to get high-nutrient foods to the most vulnerable children in Yemen, some of whom are truly on the brink. Just under $90 can feed a family of seven for a whole month. One child dying from starvation is one child too many.” Tamer Kirolos, Save the Children’s Country Director in Yemen.
Your donation today will help:
Treat children already suffering from severe malnutrition and provide urgently needed food to stop others becoming dangerously malnourished.
Run treatment centres and isolation units to treat children suffering from cholera and diphtheria and help stop these deadly diseases spreading.
Support 167 fixed health facilities and 23 hospitals to provide families with essential healthcare in a country where the health system is at breaking point.
Provide psychosocial support to children to help them cope with what they are going through and set up spaces where children can feel safe to learn, play and begin to recover.
Eleven-month old Samar* (pictured), was treated for malnutrition in a Save the Children supported clinic. She’s been severely malnourished ever since she was a few months old and has been admitted several times to hospital. At the clinic, Samar receives routine vaccinations and nutritional peanut paste to keep her healthy.
