You can help give a child like Harira the gift of learning today, for a better life tomorrow
The pandemic has had devastating consequences for children in our world. For any child, suddenly being cut off from school, their friends and their “normal” life can be tough. For vulnerable children, it’s devastating.
In Niger where Harira lives, school is more than lessons or friends. For many children school is also a safe place. It’s a place where they can receive a nutritious meal, and healthcare. And teachers can be a child’s frontline protector.
The heartbreaking truth is, if they don’t go back to school this year, countless children grow more at risk of hunger, violence or child labour. And for girls like Harira, more at risk of being forced into child marriage or unwanted pregnancy.
If they can’t return to the safety of school this year, it would rob them of their future.
Will you give the gift of learning, and the gift of a future?
