East Africa hunger crisis

Children in East Africa are dying from severe hunger.

Right now, children in East Africa do not have enough to eat – and their lives are in danger.

Widespread drought has caused successive crop failures, leaving families with little food or water. Kenya and Ethiopia are both affected and Somalia is on the verge of famine.

We need your urgent help. Right now, our teams are on the ground delivering life-saving aid:

  • Our mobile health teams are treating children suffering from severe malnutrition.
  • We are providing food aid and cash transfers so parents can feed their children.
  • We are getting clean drinking water to hard-to-reach communities.
  • We are providing technical assistance to governments to support their responses.
  • In 2010–2011, 258,000 people lost their lives in Somalia because of drought.

This cannot happen again.

Children in East Africa urgently need your support. Please donate today.

Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. Funds raised will be used to assist children and families in need. Any funds raised in excess of the amount required will be allocated to dedicated programming which supports children and families affected by emergencies around the world.
