Now they face new battles. Monsoon rains flood the camp and wash away shaky shelters. Children are in danger of early marriage and trafficking. Families are heavily reliant on aid for food and healthcare.
Rohingya families urgently need your support to help them survive the daily challenges of life as a refugee in Cox’s Bazar.
In what was the fastest growing refugee crisis in the world, the Rohingya settled in a small amount of land in Bangladesh. Storms and floods are now amplifying this crisis, destroying roads, shelters and possessions and leaving people unable to access health clinics and other vital services. Heavy rains and powerful winds tore through the camps, leaving behind crumpled shelters and families scrambling to rebuild.
Your support can help Save the Children in our response to this crisis. Our teams are on the ground repairing latrines and shelters damaged by the rains, providing food, water and safe spaces for children, and hygiene kits to stop disease spreading among already vulnerable people.
More help is urgently needed. Please donate today.
