Save the Children Australia is one of 30 members of Save the Children International – the world's leading independent organisation for children.
Globally, we support children in 123 countries around the world. We work together to share expertise, coordinate activities and pool resources, which means we can extend our reach and impact for children.
In 2015, we collectively improved the lives of more than 62 million children around the world.
All members share a global vision, purpose and set of values which help us achieve the best outcomes for children.
Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
Our purpose is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
Across all of our work, we incorporate the following core values:
Save the Children Australia manages and implements programs that assist children in 31 countries around the world. We directly deliver programs in the Pacific region and support children and families in our own community, running programs in more than 200 sites across Australia.
We work closely with wider Save the Children efforts across the globe to provide support and meet the needs of children and their families in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. We are also accountable for ensuring the highest quality of international projects funded by the Australian government, corporations and individual donors in these countries.
