Executive Management TeamThe Chief Executive Officer and five other department directors form our Executive Team. Each director heads a specific section of the organisation - Programs and Humanitarian Response (both domestic and international); Policy, Research & Advocacy; Services (including program delivery, plus Marketing, Fundraising and Partnerships); Finance and Human Resources. Each Department is supported by business unit managers (including State and Country Managers) and their teams. 
| Suzanne DvorakChief Executive Officer Suzanne Dvorak has been the Chief Executive of Save the Children Australia since early 2009. She has led the organisation through a period of significant growth and structural reform, fundamentally redefining its position within the international organisation and the Australian development community.
Prior to joining Save the Children, Suzanne was the Group CEO of Marie Stopes International (Australia, South East Asia and Pacific Region). Now recognised as Australia's premier sexual and reproductive health brand, Suzanne drove the development of Marie Stopes in Australia from a start-up to a multi-million dollar organisation. Suzanne has also worked with the United Nations assisting with the transition of authority in Cambodia, and as a Project Manager with Telstra in Vietnam.
In 2005, Suzanne was recognised as a leader in the not-for-profit sector as the State and National Winner of the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award in the Community and Government category. | 
| Glenn KingDirector, Services Area of responsibility: To lead our fundraising, marketing, volunteer and commercial operations across Australia to build strong communities and relationships so we can save and protect more children. Glenn has had previous Not for Profit (NFP) experience on a number of other charitable organisations in the UK, NZ and Australia. Glenn has worked across Scotland, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, USA in a variety of finance executive and director roles for the National Australia Bank Group. Throughout his time at NAB, Glenn has successfully led a wide range of teams across a number of different areas of business such as Direct Banking, Electronic Banking, Small Business Banking, Marketing, Product, Strategy and Corporate Affairs. Under Glenn's leadership, his teams have won numerous awards ranging from Contact Centre, Innovation, Marketing and Sponsorship. Glenn has also held the position of Chief Executive Officer of a start-up financial services organization and been the Executive Director for a large Yorkshire Bank. |  | Scott Gilbert Director, Programs and Humanitarian Response Area of responsibility: To lead the development and execution of the organisation's development and humanitarian emergency programs, to ensure children obtain the right to survival, protection, development and participation through long-term development programs, building community resilience to disasters and responding to natural and man-made humanitarian emergencies. Prior to joining Save the Children, Scott worked for International SOS and Control Risks as the Global Head of Operations, evacuating clients from both natural disasters and conflict-affected areas. He led the organisation's evacuation operations from Libya, Egypt and Tunisia during the Arab Spring, working with corporate members and national governments to safeguard their people and operations. A graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Royal Military College Duntroon, Scott has served as an officer in both the Australian and British armies. He speaks Indonesian fluently, having been involved in a number of bilateral exchange programs between the two countries. |  | Michaela Welby
Chief Financial Officer Area of responsibility: Accountable for delivering financial management, risk management and information technology services to Save the Children Australia Michaela qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in the UK. She has held various CFO positions within a number of industry sectors including contracting, consumer finance and retail. The most significant of these was with the IKANO Group as Group CFO for Habitat, the furniture retailer. She most recently gained her first exposure to the Not For Profit space with Somerset House Trust in London. She has also taught in Fiji and Vietnam with Global Vision International and I-to-I volunteering. Michaela immigrated to Australia from the United Kingdom in 2010. |  | James McDougall
Director, Advocacy
Area of responsibility: To coordinate Save the Children's advocacy strategy to support the implementation of child rights in Australia and in our work globally. Prior to joining Save the Children, James held a number of senior policy development and advocacy roles in the human rights arena in Australia and the Asia Pacific. His most recent role was as Director, National Children's & Youth Law Centre. He has also worked as a management and policy development consultant in Australia, China and East Asia, and has held chairs and memberships of a number of key child rights and youth-related organisations and networks. James has a deep understanding of and commitment to community development and human rights in a range of settings, as well as a consistent commitment to ethical conduct and transparency. |  | Belinda BaconDirector, Human Resources Area of responsibility: To lead the development and execution of the organisation's people strategy, and guide the provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs. Belinda Bacon joined Save The Children in February 2011. Prior to joining she was part of the Executive Leadership Team at realestate.com.au, leading the Human Resource function during a six year period of high growth and acquisition expansion.
As People lead, she helped realestate.com.au grow from start-up position as a newly publicly-listed company, operating solely in Australia, to the number one market position operating across 12 countries and recognized by the ASX as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies. |
