Victoria

Supporting Victoria's diverse community of children through early education, youth programs and family support.

Fundraising in Victoria

Save the Children opened its first Australian branch in Victoria in 1920 – the same year we began working in Europe.

Between 1920 and 1940, our Victorian branches shipped milk powder, flour and clothing to Europe to provide relief for refugee children. In 1951, we expanded our focus to include Australian children in need.

Today, we run programs for migrant and refugee children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children living in disadvantaged and isolated communities. Our programs include early childhood care and development, youth and family support.
