  • Giving you a sense of achievement and purpose
  • Helping you feel part of a community
  • Helping you feel better about yourself by improving your self-esteem and confidenceHelping you share your skills, learn new skills and create a better work-life balanceHelping combat stress, loneliness and social isolation, and depression
  • Helping you meet new people with like-minded interests

When considering where can I volunteer, Save the Children has nearly 100 years of experience providing lifesaving emergency responses and programs in Australia and overseas. To work out where can I volunteer, it’s important that the organisation is aligned with your values. When you volunteer with us, you’ll be working alongside our team of employees who are dedicated to changing the lives of children in Australia and overseas.

To become a volunteer, you need to consent to a national and/or international police check and comply with the Child Protection Code of Conduct when working with children or young people.

Where To Volunteer With Children

Our committed volunteers range from 18 to 85 years old. Coming from different backgrounds, they help us achieve three major breakthroughs for children in Australia and overseas:

  1. That all children survive with no child dying from preventable causes before they turn 5 years old.
  2. That all children receive a basic quality education
  3. That all children are safe from violence, war, conflict and disease.
