Best children's charities
Save the Children Australia are a part of the global Save the Children network comprising 30 children's charities that helps families around the world.
These childrens charities are dedicated to helping children globally via aid and development programs. We go to the toughest places to save children from earthquakes, cyclones, conflicts and disease. Where children are being exploited, neglected or abused we protect them from harm.
We started in 1919, when our founder, Eglantyne Jebb, a teacher and sociologist, began one of the first children's charities to supply food to starving children in Austria immediately after World War I. Her strong vision and dedication to children's rights, helped form the basis for the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959, and inspired the current Convention on the Rights of the Child, now followed by the best childrens charities across the globe.
If it is important to you to support childrens charities, you can help Save the Children today by making:
Every child deserves a bright future.
