When families are experiencing complex challenges, without appropriate support this can have significant long term impacts on everyone involved. By taking an individual approach to families’ needs, we are more effectively able to help promote positive change where there is a risk of childhood neglect or abuse. Below find out how we are making a real difference for at risk families through our intensive family support.
Save The Children supports millions of children around the world. We provide emergency response and education, health, child protection and climate change programs in 117 countries across the globe. With over 100 years of championing the rights of children we have grown to be one of the leading children’s charities. Here is how we help to build positive family relationships through our intensive family support services
Intensive Family Support Services
Our intensive family support services are available throughout Australia. By collaborating with other services, this enables us to provide practical assistance that best meets the needs of at-risk families to help them meet the emotional, developmental and physical needs of their children.
We have Family Support Workers who work alongside families (for up to 12 months), visiting them weekly in an environment where they feel most comfortable.
