The recent escalation of hostilities in the Middle East has worsened the situation for children and families in the occupied Palestinian territory. Children need food, water and other essential lifesaving supplies to be let in to Gaza at scale. All crossings must be opened and fully operational so that humanitarian organisations can reach children and families who have not only lost their homes and loved ones but are also struggling with the threat of famine. Medical evacuations are suspended, leaving tens of thousands of people, including thousands of children, without the care they need to survive.
This follows more than two years of relentless war and grave violations against Gaza’s children, who are facing starvation as malnutrition rates remain at famine level. Civilians have been killed, including children. Thousands more are missing, buried under the rubble that has replaced Gaza’s once lively streets. People in Gaza have been forcibly displaced - most of them multiple times - into increasingly shrinking pockets of land that cannot sustain human life.
No child should die simply because they don’t have access to food. But that is the reality for the children of Gaza – their lives and futures are at risk. We urgently need your support to protect them.
DONATE NOW TO OUR GAZA EMERGENCY APPEAL
Right now, our teams and partners are continuing to support families in the occupied Palestinian territory with shelter, food, and medical care for families affected by conflict. In the next two months, with additional funds we plan to reach households across Gaza and the West Bank with cash assistance to cover essential costs like food, temporary shelters, medicine and healthcare, transport and other essential items.
You can help provide the critical response needed by children and families to survive this crisis and to help them recover.
PLEASE DONATE NOW
We are urgently calling for an immediate end to the hostilities to protect children from further harm. Civilians, especially children, must be protected. Their schools and homes must never be targets. While hostilities are ongoing and families continue to be displaced, we urgently need your help to reach children with lifesaving support.
