Support for a sustainable future
Through the Safe Lair project, small egg farmers in the Philippines are being supported to overcome rising feed costs, extreme weather, and to gain better market access.
We are providing farmers with:
- Laying and native chickens
- Training to build smarter, climate-resilient coops
- Support to employ sustainable farming methods
- Guidance for selling and cooking with the eggs
- Training in running a small business.
Farmers are earning more, communities are strengthening their egg supply, and most importantly, more children are getting the nutrition and stability they need to thrive.
It’s not just about better farming – it’s about providing better futures for children and families.
This project was supported by the Australian government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
