Fundraise in Celebration

Spread the joy of a special occasion with a gift that can change lives.

Have you ever regifted something you didn’t want? Maybe you’ve given a mediocre present and knew it would be forgotten the next day? Stop racking your brains for ideas and give a gift that won’t be forgotten.

Cheer with change

Giving a gift in celebration of a special occasion is a wonderful way to make a difference to the lives of children in Australia and all around the world. By making a donation to Save the Children you are helping children have access to education, shelter, water, food and security. Make your next celebration extra special with a lifechanging gift.

How it works

You can give a gift in celebration of a loved one or ask your friends or family to make a gift in celebration of you. When you do this, you are not only brightening your loved one’s day, but brightening the lives of children around the world.

Give a gift in celebration

Making a donation to Save the Children on behalf of your family and friends is a meaningful way to celebrate them. When you give a Gift in Celebration, you give children around the world a chance at a better, brighter future.

Once you’ve bought the gift, you’ll be directed to a thank you page where you can download an eCard to either print or email to your friend or relative to let them know the impact of their gift.
You can also provide us with the recipient’s full address details and we will send them a card in the mail, letting them know you’ve made a donation to help children on their behalf.

Request a gift in celebration

Celebrate your birthday, wedding or anniversary a little differently and make it one to remember by asking for a gift that makes a huge impact. Asking your friends and family to make a donation in lieu of a gift is an incredibly generous and memorable way to celebrate your special day.
You can start Fundraising in Celebration in three easy steps:

  1. Create a personalised fundraising page – make sure to include a photo and information about your special event

  2. Share the link with your friends and family asking them to make a donation in celebration of you. They can add messages of support and congratulations along with their donation

  3. Make sure to thank your generous friends and family

Looking for a way to make your make your special day even more special?

There are so many ways to thank your guests for being a part of your wedding day. By choosing to donate to Save the Children instead of a traditional wedding favour you could help children living around the world have a brighter future. That’s an incredible way to make your wedding even more memorable!

The amount you donate per guest is completely up to you, but we recommend a minimum donation of $3.50 per guest.
