Volunteer work with children is a great way to give your time to provide opportunities to underprivileged and disadvantaged youth.
For over 100 years Save the Children have been running voluntary work with children programs that have helped children in need. This includes one-off volunteering or ongoing volunteer work.
Benefits of Volunteer Work with Children
Volunteering your time with Save the Children allows us to keep delivering our programs to supporting children’s lives. The benefits of being a volunteer includes:
- Learning new skills while you use your existing ones
- Meeting likeminded people and making new friends
- Contributing to solving issues affecting vulnerable communities in Australia and overseas.
Our aid and development programs reach children in the most extreme humanitarian emergencies throughout Australia, South East and South Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific. However, we don’t have opportunities for volunteer work with children abroad as our programs support the work of overseas local organisations and their communities.
