Multi-award winning adventurer, environmentalist, writer and speaker Huw Kingston first worked with Save the Children when he chose us as the beneficiary of his incredible 13,000km, 12 month, 17 country circumnavigation of the Mediterranean in 2014-15. That journey from Gallipoli back to Gallipoli by sea kayak, foot, ocean rowboat and bike took place against the backdrop of the desperate refugee crisis spreading across the Mediterranean.
In raising over $100,000 during that journey Huw became our highest ever individual fundraiser and now continues to work with us as Community Ambassador and to use his endeavours to both fundraise for us and raise our profile.
