Every 43 seconds, a child under five dies from pneumonia — a disease that is entirely treatable. Not because we lack the cure. But because far too many children lack access.
They don’t need a breakthrough.
They need someone to help deliver the care that already exists.
They need your generosity.
You can help deliver the treatment they need
Favor* was just six weeks old when he developed a cough and flu-like symptoms.
Soon, he began to struggle for breath. By midnight, his mother Judith* was rushing him to hospital on a motorbike — cradling her newborn as he gasped for air.
At the hospital, doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia. Favor was barely conscious. He was immediately admitted to the high-dependency unit and given oxygen therapy and intravenous antibiotics.

With the support of trained health workers and equipment provided by Save the Children, Favor regained consciousness and began to recover.
“Seeing children die from preventable diseases like pneumonia makes me sad because this is a disease we can prevent but we continue to lose children to it.” — Dr Liz, Paediatrician.
Judith had already brought Favor to the hospital once before. But this time, the pneumonia was more severe.
And without urgent care, he might not have made it.
Favor’s life didn’t depend on a medical breakthrough — it depended on timely access to care.
Now, it’s your turn to help make that access possible for another child.
